| 1. Why do you want volunteers? The government cannot solve every social program or community need. This condition is especially acute when it comes to sex education, sexual health and health promotion. There is so much fear and ignorance. Fortunately, many people are aware of the problem and want to get involved in solutions - but don't know how or where. Milk offers a viable way to make a positive difference, and we welcome their goodwill and help. 2. Who can be a volunteer? Any man or woman over the age of 18 who wants to give their free-time or talent can be a volunteer. We're seeking committed, creative people who want to get involved in one or more of our activities, campaigns and special events. 3. What projects involve volunteers? All kinds of activities, online and offline. The majority of activities are easy, but some require a greater committment of time, knowledge and/or special training; when that is the case, we'll provide the training and materials. It is important to underline that you do not need to live in Mexico City, be affiliated with an educational institution or other non-profit organization, or pay to become a volunteer. You can help us virtually or in your local community! 4. I'd like to promote my/our workshops and events. How do I/we do that? Events are accepted from medical professionals, non-profit organizations, hospitals and clinics free of charge, and are published on milk.com.mx's public calendar. Please register as a user to announce your event; all events are reviewed prior to publication. 5. I am interested but still unsure how I can help. If I collaborate, what will I do? If you are eager to donate your time or talent in a specific program, let us know what you'd like to do when you write. Health professionals are invited to subscribe to our newsletter, participate in forums, invite us to make presentations at professional societies, and suggest educational activities related to sexual and reproductive health. 6. Why don't you pay volunteers? Why should I be a volunteer? Being a volunteer is forming part of the solution, for your own community; as a volunteer you act as both an individual and as a member of a collective. Recognizing that you are part of something bigger than yourself, assuming your own, personal part in collective change is siggnificant and transformative - you make a difference! Although this concept is new to many citizens in Mexico, giving freely and willingly to a cause is powerful and effective for development. Your participation - as a translator, project leader, intern, writer or distributor of materials, to cite some examples - is very important to the completion of each program. 7.
